3x3 is the nominal evaporator plate dimension. The cabinet takes two, three or four plates, and capacity steps with the plate count from 43,000 to 87,000 BTU/hr - 7.2 to 14.4 GPM, or 144 to 288 gallons per hour of chilled water.
Everything is on the skid. Cabinet, evaporator plates, tank and distribution pan are Type 304 stainless with bead-blasted welds, and the 73 gallon tank is insulated and integral. At 44.5 x 22.25 x 77.125 inches and 925 lb maximum shipping weight, it goes through a standard door and lands where a packaged chiller plus a storage tank plus a secondary exchanger would not.
Water is chilled on the plate face. Refrigerant is inside the evaporator plate and water falls across its surface, so there is no glycol loop and no secondary exchanger costing you approach temperature. That is what lets these units hold water within a couple of degrees of freezing.

Plate count is the only variable in this cabinet, so selection is a short conversation: the water flow you need and the outlet temperature you need it at. Two plates, three or four - and if the duty is likely to grow, specify the plate count you will want later, because adding a plate to a cabinet built for it costs a fraction of buying the next size up.
The refrigeration side has to be settled alongside the water side. The chiller is the evaporator, so refrigerant, suction conditions and the condensing arrangement all belong in the same selection.

Water is chilled directly on the evaporator plate rather than through a glycol loop and a second exchanger, which is what lets these units approach freezing. The achievable outlet depends on your flow rate and the suction conditions available, so give us both.
Not on this model - the 73 gallon insulated tank is integral. If you already have storage and want the footprint back, the tankless cabinet is the same chiller without the sump.
