A plate exchanger is a consumable-bearing machine. Gaskets wear, plates erode and foul, and both are replaceable. Ordering the right parts starts with the nameplate, not with a tape measure.
Plates and gaskets are model-specific and pattern-specific. Two plates that look identical across a workshop bench are frequently different parts, and fitting the wrong one produces a pack that will not seal and cannot be diagnosed by eye.
Identify from the nameplate. The unit serial number is the reliable route to the right part list. Photograph the nameplate and send it with the inquiry, and we can confirm plate pattern, gasket compound, count and hardware.
Gasket compounds. Nitrile, EPDM, silicone, Viton/FKM and butyl each cover a different temperature and chemistry window. Many models use snap-in gaskets, which remove the glue step and make a regasket far faster.
Frames and hardware. Compression bolts, guide rails, carrying bars, roller assemblies, port linings and connection adapters are all available. Custom frames can also be built to drop into an existing foundation from another manufacturer.
Part numbers. Every cataloged model, with the dimensions and ratings that separate them: Accu-Therm Replacement Gasket Part Numbers (30 part numbers), Accu-Therm Replacement Plate Part Numbers (15 part numbers) and Accu-Therm Frame Part Numbers (5 part numbers).

When to Regasket Rather Than Replace
Gaskets are the shortest-lived component in a plate exchanger and the cheapest to renew. Plates last far longer unless the chemistry is attacking them. If a pack is weeping but the plates are sound, a regasket is a fraction of the cost of a new unit.
Plate replacement becomes the answer when there is pitting, cracking at the port, or erosion at the inlet. At that point it is worth asking whether the plate material was right for the service in the first place, since a like-for-like replacement repeats the experiment.
Storage and Handling
Store spare plates flat and supported, and keep gaskets above freezing and out of sunlight. Extremely low temperature alters gasket properties, and UV degrades most elastomers.
Order gaskets close to when you will fit them rather than holding them for years, and note the compound on the shelf label so nobody fits the wrong one during a night shift.
Specifying the plate pack
It should at least be rechecked, because the compound was picked for the original temperature and chemistry. A new cleaning chemical, a hotter utility or a solvent in the product can move the duty outside the window the old elastomer was chosen for. Viton, for instance, copes well with hydrocarbons and badly with steam. Give us the present fluids, temperatures and cleaning regime and we will confirm or change the compound before the order goes in.
The lining covers the frame metal around each port, where fluid enters at its highest velocity and would otherwise erode or corrode the head. Once a lining is cut through, the attack goes straight into the frame, and that repair costs far more than the lining ever did. Look at the port faces every time the pack is open, and order a new lining at the first sign of wear or a lifted edge.
A full gasket set and a few plate assemblies of each hand cover most unplanned repairs. Elastomers age in storage, so keep enough gaskets for one complete regasket rather then several. Stainless plates do not deteriorate on the shelf as long as they are stored flat and supported. Send the serial number and we will put together a sensible spares list for that particular pack.
Glued gaskets mean stripping old cement from every groove and waiting for new adhesive to cure, which turns a regasket into a shop job for most maintenance crews. Snap-in gaskets clip straight into the groove, so the same pack goes back into service in a fraction of the time.
