The frame is the part that decides what the unit can become. Plate count, plate size and port size are all set by it, and it is the one component you cannot upgrade in place.
Maximum plate count is the number to look at. It is the difference between a unit that can absorb a thirty percent duty increase and one that has to be replaced when the process changes. Where a maximum is marked as an estimate, treat it as indicative and confirm with us before designing to it.
Specifying a longer carrying bar and longer tie bolts at purchase costs very little. Discovering later that the frame will not take the plates you now need costs a frame, a shutdown and the pipework to suit.
If there is any prospect of the duty growing, say so at selection and we will quote the frame that leaves room.

5 part numbers. Figures marked (est.) are engineering estimates rather than Mueller published values — ask us to confirm before designing to one. Everything else traces to the source named in the catalogue record.
Sometimes, if the plate model is the same and the port arrangement matches. Send both part numbers and we will tell you.
Zinc-plated compression bolts as standard, with stainless available where the environment calls for it.
