Across chemical processing, metal finishing, pulp and paper, power generation and petroleum, the same handful of questions recur. Industrial streams foul, and the equipment that survives is the equipment you can clean. A gasketed frame that opens is worth substantially more over a decade than a sealed unit that is cheaper on day one.
Where the stream carries solids a conventional plate cannot pass, the choice is the Free-Flow plate or a Temp-Plate bank. Both are designed around the assumption that the fluid is difficult.
Alloy selection follows what concentrates at the surface rather than what is in the bulk. Chlorides at temperature limit stainless; acids point at specific alloys; and the cleaning chemistry is frequently more aggressive than the process.
