Description

AT40FFF-20 is a Mueller Accu-Therm Free-Flow plate heat exchanger. The FF plate carries no contact points across the channel, so the flow path holds a constant width from port to port and passes fibers, pulp, seeds, and suspended solids that would bridge and plug a conventional chevron pack. Plates measure 70-1/4" by 27" on 4" ports, packs run 33-7/8" - 159-7/8", and the frame covers about 99 - 2,292 sq ft at roughly 4.2 square feet per plate. Water-equivalent flow reaches 800 GPM. Note the derated pressure limit of 150 PSIG relative to a standard Accu-Therm frame, which is the trade for the open channel. Typical service is sugar and syrup, brewery trub and spent grain streams, pulp and paper white water, dyehouse effluent, and municipal and industrial wastewater. The pack opens for mechanical cleaning without cutting pipe, and coated free-flow plates are available for aggressive streams. Configuration: F Frame, F-20 series.
