Note: the unit pictured is representative of the standard build and may not exactly depict p/n TP-SE-T9-48X95-18on12 as shown on this page.
This is a Mueller Temp-Plate inflated heat transfer surface in single-embossed construction, 48 inches wide by 95 inches long, in 18 on 12 gauge, arranged as a Type 9 flow pattern - steam heating service. Temp-Plate is built by seam welding two stainless sheets around the perimeter, spot welding them on a regular pattern across the face, and hydraulically inflating the sheets to raise a pillowed flow passage between them. Only one face is inflated; the flat reverse face welds directly to a vessel wall, shell course, or head so the panel becomes an integral jacket. Heat transfer surface is 65.1 square feet. Non-ASME working pressure is 400 PSIG and 185 PSIG with an ASME code stamp. Standard design rating is 150 PSI at 400°F to -20°F, and high pressure constructions exceed 2,000 PSI. Connections are 2" supply and 1" return. Typical assembly style for this size is the Energy Recovery Bank. Note that Temp-Plate is engineered to order; this part number is a descriptor built from Mueller's published standard size, gauge, and flow-pattern options rather than a stocked catalog number.
