Description
This AT40 Accu-Therm unit is the gasketed plate-and-frame configuration Mueller builds on the 40 plate. Plate dimensions are 70-1/4" by 27", ports are 4", and the pack length adjusts across 33-7/8" - 159-7/8" to place roughly 99 - 2,292 sq ft of surface into service. Figure about 4.2 square feet per plate and up to 800 GPM on water. Compared with a shell and tube of the same duty, the plate pack occupies a fraction of the floor space and can be reconfigured by adding or removing plates rather than replacing the exchanger. Gaskets use the Loc-In method. Frame styles offered: F Frame - intermediate size, bolted head and tail plate; B Frame - for larger units, plates hang from the upper guide bar; capacity to 900 plates.
