AT20

The AT20 is a gasketed plate-and-frame heat exchanger from the Mueller Accu-Therm series, built around a 56" x 24" plate on a 3" port. Cold and hot streams alternate through gasketed channels formed by chevron-corrugated plates, which drives turbulence at low flow and gives approach temperatures in the 1°F to 3°F range that a shell and tube cannot reach. The frame accepts plate packs from 20" - 159-3/8", covering roughly 28 - 1,279 sq ft of heat transfer surface at about 3.1 square feet per plate. Rated flow is up to 450 GPM of water. Standard construction is 316 stainless plates with nitrile or EPDM gaskets in a painted carbon steel frame, and the pack expands in the field as duty grows. Available frame styles: C Frame - compact cantilever, for space-limited installations; F Frame - intermediate size, bolted head and tail plate; B Frame - for larger units, plates hang from the upper guide bar; capacity to 900 plates.
